Folsom RV Dealer Discusses The Evolution of Class C Motorhome Passenger Compartment Safety


Over time, motorhome owners develop a preference for a specific vehicle class. The Class A motorhomes used to be the roomiest, but now there are small Class A and big Class C models available. There are even RV’ers who have steadily downsized over the years and now travel the country in a Class B. Folsom RV owners, as in other areas of the country, are a mixed lot when it comes to motorhome class preference. If you are in the planning stages for your first motorhome, here are some things to consider about the Class C models.

Class C Motorhome

This class of motorhome is built on a truck or van chassis, but the passenger compartment is the same in a motorhome as it would be if that chassis was a delivery truck or another vehicle. The passenger compartment, or cab, is intact from the manufacturer except the wall behind the seats and part of the roof is removed. It is sometimes referred to as a cutaway chassis.
